I quickly sewed up this stretchy basic pencil skirt, to add to my wardrobe.
I am trying to bust through my fabric stash, because it is getting into embarrassing proportions. In my stash, I had this really soft and stretchy knit fabric. My clothes are starting to fit poorly, because the growing baby. So, new clothes are in order.
Here is what the I wanted it to look like. I have used this pattern before.
Here is the very most basic pencil shirt you can make, with stretchy fabric.
I used a nice stretchy fabric to make this. To be honest, I wear skirts that are stretchy way more often (at least 3 times more, yes that is the scientific number).
Sew up at tube for the skirt (the width of your hips) and then do a yoga style waistband on it (a tube folded in half the size of your waist). It takes less than 30 minutes start to finish, after you figure it out.
This beautifully awkward pose is so you can see the waistband better.
Both of the kids had to get in on the belly touching during picture time.
That is all I have today, is anyone else trying to use up their fabric stash?
